Thanks to all the vets out there serving today…and to those that have served in the past. Let us also thank their families for enduring all that they had to deal with while their loved ones were serving.

I was lucky enough to have been able to serve in the US Air Force for a little over 12 years and they were some of the best times of my life. I got to be deployed all over the world and have so many great memories and life experiences as a result.

Here are two pictures I found recently that captured some of the places I got to visit while serving:

This one is from August of 1990, a few months before I got to deploy to Desert Storm:

While I’m in a flight suit here, I did not fly jets…I was just lucky to get a ride in one while deployed.

Here is one of me while I was deployed to Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In that hookah pipe is tobacco and dried fruit…they call it sheesha.
